This instant pot taco soup is a quick and easy recipe that is perfect for a cold day. The ground beef and beans add protein to the soup, which will keep you satisfied for a while.
Ingredients
- 3 cups instant pot beef broth (I use low sodium)
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1/2 cup instant pot cheddar cheese (or any instant pot cheesy ingredient)
- 1/2 package instant pot taco seasoning
- 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey, cooked and drained (I use lean ground beef)
- instant potatoes (optional, not included in calorie count below)
Method
Step 1
Add instant pot beef broth, tomato paste and instant taco seasoning to instant pot bowl. Stir until combined.
Step 2
Pour mixture into instant pot cooking insert along with ground beef or ground turkey (cooked and drained).
Note that if you are not using a pressure cooker, simply follow the remaining steps but cook in your instant pot or another instant cooking device in a separate instant pot dish.
Add instant potatoes, if used (and cooked) and stir to combine with instant taco soup mixture.
Step 3
Secure the lid of your instant pot bowl/insert, turn vent valve to sealing position and press manual high pressure for 15 minutes. Note that you can adjust the instant pot cooking time for this ground beef instant taco soup recipe to your desired preference.

Once the instant pot cycle has finished, do a quick release of the pressure from the instant pot/instant dish and serve!
