Toasted Sunflower Seeds, more savory
Toasted Sunflower Seeds. Sunflower seeds are a nut that many people enjoy. In particular, Russians enjoy eating sunflower seeds. Toasted Sunflower Seeds is even more savory.
The love of these crisp seeds is near-universal, and even though it is considered gauche to crunch them in public, the floors of public buildings – especially waiting rooms-bear testimony to their popularity.
The careful observer can always spot the site of an erstwhile queue from the sunflower hulls strewn over the ground.
Most Russians eat the seeds raw, cracking the hulls with their teeth, but they are even better toasted.
