Moroccan Fruit Compote, Will you be my guest?

Ingredients
- 500 g (1 lb) dried mixed fruits, e.g. apricots, apples, pears, prunes or figs 150 ml (¼ pint) pure orange juice
- 450 ml (¾ pint) water
- 2 tablespoons clear honey
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Pinch of ground allspice
- 25 g (1 oz) blanched almonds

Method
Step 1
Place the fruits in a large bowl, pour in the orange juice and water, cover and cook on HIGH for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add the honey, cinnamon stick and allspice, cover and cook on HIGH for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Leave to stand until cool, during which time the fruit will become plumper and more tender.
Remove the cinnamon stick, stir in the almonds and chill until required. Serve with crisp biscuits.
