The Mediterranean Diet is a model for a healthy life.

After a whole series of studies, scientists have come to the conclusion that the Mediterranean people have a longer life expectancy than other people – especially the people of Crete. It has been observed that Greeks consume less butter and more olive oil than any other European Union nation. The Mediterranean Diet does indeed contain produce that is rich in antioxidants and “good” cholesterol. The Mediterranean Diet is based on bread, fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, olive oil, garlic, onions, herbs and fragrant wild greens.
