Dill Pickled Okra

Ingredients

1 kg okra pods

SPICES

A few celery leaves
1 clove of garlic, peeled and split
1 sprig dill
2 pimento, sliced

PICKLE SOLUTION

2⅔ cups water
1⅔ cups white vinegar
2 tablespoons salt


Method

Scrub okra, pack into 4 jars. In each jar insert the spices. In a saucepan bring the pickle solution to the boil. Stir well and pour boiling liquid over okra and seal tightly. Let stand 3 weeks before serving.
