Cheese and Garlic Bruschetta

For a cheesier appetizer than the well-known tomato and mozzarella bruschetta combination, prepare this loveable and garlicky appetizer with parmesan, Swiss cheese and parmesan.


2 loaves French bread, cut into 1-inch slices
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1 cup cream cheese
cup grated parmesan cheese
6 tbsp sour cream
1 tbsp minced green onions
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp minced parsley
2 tbsp mayonnaise
tsp ground pepper


Makes: 16


1. With an electric mixer, blend the cream cheese, mayonnaise and sour cream, until smooth.

2. Stir in the parmesan cheese, half of the Swiss cheese, green onions, garlic and parsley.

3. Place the bread slices on baking sheet.

4. Toast them lightly under a preheated broiler.

5. Remove from heat.

6. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the toasted slices.

7. Top with the remaining Swiss cheese.

8. Broil for about 1-2 minutes.

9. Sprinkle with ground pepper then serve.
