Chinese Style Long Soup

It is incredibly easy to make and is one of the best recipe to make during the cold winter months.

1 tbsp. of vegetable oil
head of cabbage, small in size and shredded
4 ounces of pork tenderloin, lean and cut into thin strips
6 cups of chicken broth
2 tbsp. of soy sauce
tsp. of ginger root, fresh and minced
8 green onions, fresh and chopped
4 ounces of Chinese style noodles, dry

Preparation time: 25 minutes
Serves: 4

Use a large sized skillet or wok and heat up a generous amount of oil over medium heat. Add in your cabbage and pork and fry until the pork contains no pink on the inside. This should take approximately 5 minutes or less. Also, make sure that you stir your cabbage and pork while it is cooking.

Add in your broth, soy sauce and ginger once the moment that your pork is fully cooked. Bring your soup to a rolling boil. Once it begins boiling, reduce the heat to the lowest setting and allow your soup to simmer for at least 10 minutes. Make sure that you stir the soup occasionally.

Last stir in your remaining ingredients and continue cooking until your noodles are tender and al dente. This should take about 2 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and serve while still piping hot.
