Grilled Camembert


One 8 oz/225 g wheel ripe Camembert cheese, in its box
Sea salt
1 baguette, toasted, for serving

Preheat a gas grill/barbecue to medium-high heat or build a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill/barbecue. Take the cheese out of its box and unwrap. Carefully slice the rind off the top and then return the cheese to its box, cut-side up, and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt. Place the box directly on the hot grill/barbecue, cut side up, and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is warm and melted. The box may burn a bit, which is not only fine but adds a dramatic appearance. Remove from the grill/barbecue and serve hot with pieces of toasted baguette.
