Easter Holidays - Marble Babka
(Babka Biało-Czarna)

Ingredients

cup (115 g) butter
1 cup (225 g) sugar
2 eggs
2 cups (220 g) flour
1 tsp baking powder
cup (190 ml) milk
Lemon juice
cup (30 g) cocoa powder


Method

1.   Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).


2.   Beat the softened butter and sugar with an electric mixer until the batter is smooth and shiny.


3.   In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, and in another bowl, mix the flour and baking powder.


4.   Turn down the electric mixer to the lowest setting and gradually add in the beaten eggs.


5.   Gradually add in the flour, milk, and 1 or 2 teaspoons of lemon juice.


6.   When the batter is smooth and well-combined, divide it in two. Add the cocoa powder or melted bitter chocolate into one batter and mix well.


7.   Grease a babka or loaf pan and alternate adding scoops from each batter.


8.   Bake in the oven for 50 minutes.
