Chicken Ham Roll-Ups


4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
teaspoon salt
teaspoon pepper
4 ounces boiled ham, thinly sliced
4 ounces provolone cheese, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon sage
teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons butter
1 (26-ounce) jar tomato and basil pasta sauce


Serves: 4


Pound each chicken breast to ¼ inch thick. Sprinkle the chicken with the salt and pepper. Top the chicken breasts with the ham and cheese. Sprinkle with the sage and garlic powder. Wrap the chicken breasts around the filling, securing with wooden picks.

Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the prepared chicken breasts in the melted butter. Stir in the pasta sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook, covered, for 12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
