Orange With Lemon Balm

4 oranges
140ml/ pint/ cup sweet white wine
15-30ml/1-2 tablespoons honey
15ml/1 tablespoon Grand Marnier
15ml/1 teaspoon chopped lemon balm


Whole lemon balm leaves (optional)


Serves: 4


Peel the oranges, removing all the white pith. Cut the oranges into slices and arrange on a serving dish.

Mix the wine, honey to taste and Grand Marnier together in a small bowl, stir in the lemon balm and cook on HIGH for 2 minutes. Stir to dissolve the honey and cook on MEDIUM for 5 minutes or until slightly reduced and syrupy.

Pour over the oranges and chill thoroughly. Garnish with whole lemon balm leaves if desired. 

Preparation time: 10 minutes plus chilling
Microwave cooking time: 7 minutes
