Ingredients

2 measures rum
200 ml (7 fl oz) boiling water
Sugar, to taste
Whipped cream
Grated nutmeg

Method

Warm a heatproof glass with a handle and pour in the rum and boiling water. Add sugar to taste and stir. Spoon some whipped cream on the top and sprinkle with grated nutmeg.

Variation:- To make a Hot Buttered Rum, stir 15g ( oz) butter with the rum before adding the boiling water and omit the whipped cream.
