Baked Salmon


4 x 4 oz. salmon steaks
2 oz. ( cup) butter
Salt, pepper
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Parsley to garnish


Serves: 4


Arrange the salmon in a shallow square heat resistant dish with the thicker parts of the steaks towards the outside. Dot with butter, season with salt and pepper and add a sprinkling of lemon juice. Cover with a sheet of waxed or greaseproof paper.

Cook on HIGH for 6-8 minutes, turning the fish after 3 minutes. Leave to stand for 5 minutes before testing. The steaks are cooked when the bone separates easily from the flesh. Garnish with sprigs of parsley.

Frozen salmon steaks should be thawed before cooking to prevent the flesh from toughening.
