Fried Mushrooms


4 oz. ( cup) butter
12 large (morel) mushrooms
2 eggs, beaten well
2 oz. (1 cup) matzo (cracker) meal


Serves: 4


Preheat the browning skillet on HIGH for 2½ minutes. Add the butter and heat for 1 minute until melted. Dip the mushrooms in the egg and then the meal, shaking off any loose crumbs. Fry on HIGH for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Turn the mushrooms over halfway through the cooking time. Drain and serve hot.
