Almond Crescents


4 oz. (1 cup) shelled almonds, finely grated
5 oz. (1 cups) flour
1 oz. ( cup) icing (confectioners) sugar, sifted
4 oz. ( cup) butter
1 egg yolk


Makes: 24


Combine the almonds, flour and icing sugar. Work in the butter and egg yolk, using one hand, until the mixture is well blended and forms a soft paste. Wrap in plastic film and chill until firm. Pinch off pieces of dough the size of walnuts and shape into crescents. Place 8 at a time well spread out on a sheet of waxed paper or non-stick vegetable parchment. Cook on HIGH for about 2 minutes.
