Lamb In Olive Oil And Oregano


1 kg lamb
1 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
cup wine


Serves: 6


1. Wash lamb and slice it in small pieces. Warm olive oil in large saucepan and sauté the meat on all sides until well brown.

2. Pour the wine over the meat, sprinkle with the oregano, salt, pepper, and add 2 cups of water. Cover saucepan with lid and simmer for 50 minutes at low temperature. Check water from time to time.

3. Serve hot with French fries and salad.
