I currently own the Kenwood Chef “Excel” KM210 (not the biggest model). This is my second Kenwood mixer and I love it as much as the first, which I bought back in the 1960’s when they still came with a European style plug. (I just wore out the old one.)

I looked at other mixers (Hobart and Kitchen Aid) but came right back to Kenwood. It is somewhat noisier than the Kitchen Aid but neither the first nor the second has failed to do what I’ve asked of it, and I use several of the accessories. Needless to say, I’m a booster.

Kenwood Chef (Food Processor)

I bought my circa 1960’s Kenwood Chef at a car boot sale local to me.I paid  very little for a machine that is in absoultely perfect and almost totally unused condition.

I have never looked back, it is used regularly by myself and my family.  I need to buy the extras that make this the ultimate machine, but  the attachments I bought with it are adequate at the moment.  I know that there are more compact and more complicated machines out there, but none would give me  the feeling of utter satisfaction and solidity of my old Kenwood Chef!

This is a fabulous device for zesting citrus. It was originally sold in hardware stores and was used for woodworking. It has know been discovered by cooks all across the US. They make a larger one which is wonderful for grating cheese.
